Compassion Child Sponsorship
Releasing children from poverty, in Jesus' name
Compassion is one of the world's leading child development and child advocacy organisations.
Their approach is a personal one. Working with the local church, they link a child living in poverty with a loving sponsor, like you. Each sponsor gives their child access to education, health checks and the care of a local church-based Compassion project.
There is no quick fix to global poverty, but through their programmes, children's lives are being changed. They are impacting families, communities and whole nations.
As a church, we have a Compassion Sunday in September where we raise awareness of Compassion, the work they do and all the money given on that Sunday goes towards their latest project. You can view our last Compassion Sunday service
here. In the past we have also had 'Curry and Compassion' evenings where we have heard stories directly from those sponsored children who are now working for Compassion, as well as being shown how to cook an authentic curry.
