Giving

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 2 Cor 9:6-8

Everything that we do at TRBC is made possible by your generosity.

There are a variety of ways you can give to TRBC:

Regular monthly giving (Standing Orders)

The most efficient and convenient way to give is by regular monthly payment through your bank. Not only does this provide us with regular income, but it also helps the church to plan ahead and set budgets. If you have a login to this website then click here to get the bank details, otherwise please contact our Treasurer or Bookkeeper for more details.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please complete a Gift Aid Declaration Form (word or pdf), so that that we can reclaim an additional 25% of your gift directly from the Treasury.

In Church

You can give at our Sunday morning service by using the offering table just inside the rear doors as you enter/leave the worship space.

Cash

Simply place the cash in the basket.  If you are a UK taxpayer and want us to be able to reclaim Gift Aid then please put the money in a giving envelope and complete the details.

Contactless

We also have the option of  making a payment using a contactless card reader.  Simply click the amount you'd like to give on the screen and then scan your card or phone on the contactless reader when prompted.  Unfortunately we cannot currently reclaim Gift Aid on contactless payments of over £30.00 unless you have filled in a declaration AND informed the bookkeeper of the amount and date of each contactless payment.

Online

If you'd like to donate now then please scan the QR-Code to make a fee-free payment using the free SumUp Pay app or click here to use their webpage (we are charged 2.5% for web payments)

Leaving a Legacy

Not everyone can afford to support the costs of running the Church when they have commitments for raising a family or providing for retirement. But one valuable way we can all support the ministry of our Church into the future is by leaving a legacy in your will.  More details can be found in this Baptist Union document.

To give a share of your estate to TRBC, here is an example of the wording taken from the document linked above
I GIVE the sum of ______ to the trustees of the Trafalgar Road Baptist Church, Horsham (‘the Church’) (registed charity number:1128639) for the benefit of the General Fund of the Church provided that if before my death (or after my death but before the Trustees have given effect to the gift in question) the Church has changed its name or has amalgamated with or transferred all of its assets to any other body then the Trustees shall give effect to the gift as if it had been made (in the first case) to the body in its changed name or (in the second case) to the body which results from such amalgamation or to which the transfer has been made.

Gift of Shares

If you have stocks and shares in an investment account, you can donate these for the benefit of TRBC and avoid any capital gains tax that may arise as well as qualifying for full tax relief on the value of the gift.   This is a very tax effective way of giving.   Please note that investments held in ISA’s or Pension Accounts are not eligible for gifting.   If you would like to find out how to do this, please contact the Church Treasurer or Bookkeeper.
